Six main rounds of Public
Information Centres (PICs) are the focus points of outreach
and consultation. Each round of PICs will include individual
events held in Stratford and New Hamburg. The precise locations
/ venues and timing of each PIC will be determined as the study
progresses.
The PICs will be arranged as drop-in centres
(open house format) to allow stakeholders to see results,
exchange information and ask one-on-one questions of the Project
Team.
An overview of the study Public Information
Centres and the information presented is provided under 'Overview
of the Study Process' (PDF/22kb) on this website.

Additional Information - Preliminary Design Alternatives
The study team has assembled some additional information regarding each of the Preliminary Design Alternatives presented at PIC #5 in response to a request from a public interest organization. Mapping of the Preliminary Design Alternatives and the other materials presented at PIC #5 in July and August 2012, are available here.
Since the requested information is typically assembled and documented as part of the evaluation of Preliminary Design Alternatives, the information provided in the tables below represents only partial input for 6 of the 66 evaluation criteria that will be used. The information in these tables will be augmented and / or refined as part of the evaluation process, reflecting adjustments made in response to stakeholder input received through the PIC #5 consultation process.
The evaluation will be undertaken and the outcome will result in a preferred Preliminary Design Alternative, which will be carried forward as the “Final Plan”. The evaluation results and the Final Plan will be presented at PIC #6 for public review and comment. PIC #6 is tentatively scheduled for spring 2013.
Tables of Information Requested Regarding Preliminary Design Alternatives (as Presented at PIC #5)
Your comments on the PIC #5 materials and the additional information being made available are requested by October 31, 2012 so they can be considered in the selection of a preferred preliminary design.

The stakeholder input received on information presented at PIC #2B has resulted in the addition of a corridor alternative in the Stratford area. The new corridor alternative utilizes Lorne Avenue and Erie Street through Stratford. An additional PIC is being held in the Stratford area to present and obtain input on this new corridor alternative before proceeding to the selection of a preferred corridor alternative.

In response to requests from some stakeholders to see the broader picture with respect to input from others, a summary table of stakeholder written comments, and study team responses, regarding the information presented at Public Information Centre 2B has been prepared. This table organizes all of the comments received and our responses into groups according to various subject areas (i.e., transportation problems and opportunities, comments on corridor alternatives, concerns about impacts to farmland and farm operations, etc.). Our response for each subject or group of subjects has been prepared to provide a more thorough and complete response to address all comments we received on that subject.
